Ujagar Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh, Jat, of Sanghar, District
Hoshiarpur. He was formerly a watchman at Shanghai, whence in 1914
he went to Manila, where he was a member of the Indian revolutionary
party, and collaborated with Moti Ram alias G. D. Kumar (M-40) in his
seditious propaganda in the islands. He got his beard shaved at the
instance of. Dr. Kumar and married a Philippine woman. Is a subscriber
and also perhaps a distributing agent of the ’Kirti' newspaper of Amritsar.
In 1929 he had a shop in Public Market, San Rackey, Cauete, (Cavite ?)
Phillipine Islands. He was reported in September 1930 to be an associate
of the well-known Manila Ghadrite, Chanan Singh (C-5) and was said to
be using the latter's P. O. Box 350, (1350?) Manila. There is no village
named Sanghar in the Hoshiarpur district and enquiries have failed to
trace him.
Description : Wheat complexion; thin build; round face; round eyes;
height 5'-8"; age about 30/32 years; knows Gurmukhi well and Urdu
and English slightly; has his name tattooed on one arm.
