Teja Singh, son of Dyal Singh, Jat, of Bhikhiwind, P. S. Bhikhiwind.
District Lahore. Served in the Shanghai Police but was dismissed for
sedition. Joined Gujar Singh's party and returned to India by the S.S.
"Nam Sang". Was present at the Jhar Sahib meetings and in the Sirhali
attempt. Was sent for trial in the Lahore Supplementary Case and
sentenced to transportation for life, the sentence was subsequently
reduced to 3 years' rigorous imprisonment. Escaped from the Hazari Bagh
Central Jail, Bihar and Orissa, with Sucha Singh (S-60) and Budh Singh
of village Sursingh, district Lahore (a convict in the Lahore
Supplementary Conspiracy Case-since deceased) on 9th March 1918 and
is still absconding. Owns landed property.
Description : Age 44 years; height 5-7"; fair complexion, a scar on the
right arm and also on right cheek.
