Surjan Singh, son of Mahan Singh, Jat, of Village Gujarwal, P. S. Dehlon, District Ludhiana. A youth with whom Randhir Singh (R-29) discussed the "Mutiny" and who was with him in the abortive attack on Ferozepore. Absconded, but later surrendered himself. Was sent up for trial in the Lahore Supplementary Case and sentenced to transportation for life. Sentence reduced to five years' R. I. Entertains Akali views, otherwise nothing is known against him. Owns landed property. Associates with Randhir Singh (R-29) and Kala Singh of Gujarwal, district Ludhiana.
