Sucha Singh

Sucha Singh, son of Ala Singh, Nihang, of Sursingh, P. S. Bhikhiwind, District Lahore. Went abroad in 1910 and returned to India by the s. s. "Komagata Maru". One of Gurdit Singh's (G-46) right-hand men. Was very fanatical and disloyal and one of those responsible for the Budge riot. He was confined in the Alipore jail till September 1915 when he was transferred to the Punjab. Was released and restricted to Chak No. 53 in the Chunian Tehsil, Lahore District, in April 1918. On December 8th, 1921, he delivered an objectionable speech at a meeting held at Guru-Ka- Bagh, Amritsar. In 1923 he went to Nankana Sahib as a Jathedar of all the men of Guru Nanak's ship ofwhich he was Granthi. In November ofthe same year, he was appointed a Granthi in the Janam Ashram Gurdwara. Is said to know bomb-making. Is absent from his village and wanders as a mendicant. Present whereabouts are not known. Owns some landed property.
