Raila Singh, Village Lil, District Ludhiana. In 1929 was reported to be a
regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on behalf of the Kirti
fund. He was chosen as a member of the Ghadr Party Committee at
Fresno on the 26th of February 1930. He is known to have been friendly
with Mit Singh of Pandori, district Ludhiana (M-35), and to have been
interested in the Malwa Sudhar Society as far back as 1922-23. He was
expected to leave California about the middle of March 1930, for India,
entrusted with a mission by the Ghadr Party. It was also suspected that he
would be carrying funds with him. He did not, however, leave for India.
Since then, he has been involved in the disputes with Ghadr Party over
Stockton Sikh Temple affairs. He also seems to have taken the side of
Sher Singh Sathi in the latter's quarrel with the Ghadr Party. He is
believed to be still in Brawley.
