Puran Singh, son of Nihala, Jat, of Kot Todar Mai, P. S. Kahnowan,
District Gurdaspur. He returned from Shanghai in October 1914. He
belonged to the dacoity party of Sher Singh of Thikriwala (an ex-convict
in the Supplementary Lahore Conspiracy Case) and was arrested in April
and was found to be in possession of an automatic pistol. He was sentenced to 21 years' imprisonment under Sections 19 and 20 of the
Arms Act, and 399 of the I. P. C. He is still in jail.
Description : Age about 47 years; wheat complexion; one boil mark on
the left leg 3/4" and 1/4" in size; medium size.
