Prem Singh

Prem Singh, Prem, alias Wazir Singh, son of Jiwan Singh, of Saraba, P. S. Rajkot, District Ludhiana. Was a compositor in the Kavi Press, and the President of the Punjab Naujawan Bharat Sabha of Bengal. Was associated with members of the terrorist party in that Province. Contemplated at one time the murder of Government officials, and the commission of dacoities. Was convicted with Subhas Bose and others in what is known as the South Calcutta Procession Case, organised in connection with the Political Sufferers' Day on 11th August 1929 and was sentenced to 9 months' rigorous imprisonment. Was extemed from Bengal under the B. C. L. A. Act (1930) on 16th April 1931.
