Paia Singh, son of Jiwan Singh, Village Mahel Gehla, P. S. Banga, District JuIIundur. He did not interest himself in politics before he left India for America about 1908. His son Karam Singh is reported to hold extreme views and receives the Kirti magazine of Amritsar, for which his father subscribes on his behalf from America. In 1929 Paia Singh was reported to be a supporter of the Ghadr Party, and about the middle of that year, to have been elected one of the Directors of the American Hindustani Trading Co. (a Ghadr Party concern formed to promote the economic side of the Party and to serve as a cloak for revolutionary activities). He was reported to have continued to hold that office in 1931.
