Narain Singh, Kaveshar, son of Wadhawa Singh, Jat, Village Dhun, P.
S. Khalra, District Lahore. He was reported to have arrived in Shanghai
from India between 1918-20, and was employed for some time as a
watchman. An unconfirmed report stated that he had been an active
member of the Ghadr Party since 1914 and that he was one of the
"Komagata Maru" passengers. During 1927 and 1928 he attended several
seditious meetings in Shanghai and was reported to have been one ofthe
more active members of the Manjha seditionist group in Shanghai. He
was arrested on 6th May 1929 and after a month's imprisonment was
deported to India on the 13th July 1929 under police escort. Is present at
his village and is reported to be quiet. Owns landed property.
