Mehr Singh, Sigera, alias M. S. Vidyarthi, son of Nagina Singh, Jat, of Sarin, P. S. Nakodar, District Jullundur. He went to America in about 1911. A prominent revolutionary of Stockton who delivered a seditious lecture at a meeting of the Ghadr Party of Fresno in January 1915. He spoke at another meeting of the party at Stockton in July 1915. He interested himself in the study of explosives and was reported to have been sending copies of the "Ghadr" to South Africa, Manila, Shanghai, Cuba and Panama. During 1916 and 1917 he worked on the Ghadr staff for a considerable time. His name figured frequently in the San Francisco trial showing that he had been concerned with the Ghadr Party accounts. He was reported in 1929 to have been a regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on behalf of the Kirti fund. He was elected to the Committee of the Ghadr Party at Al Fresno on the 26th of February 1930. His address was found in the notebook of V. K. Ippe, as Rt. 2 Box 65A, Delano, where he has a cotton ranch. Since 1930 he has been Treasurer of the Ghadr Party and is one of the most active leaders. He is a nephew of the late Bir Singh, son of Narain Singh of Sarin, who belonged to the Ghadr Party.
