Mehr Singh, son of Wazir Singh, of Village Langeri, District
Hoshiarpur. Emigrated in 1907 to British Columbia, where he has been a
figure of some importance at his farm at Kelowna. In 1915 he was active v
in Ghadr work, holding meetings and collecting money for the Ashram. In
the following year he was known to be a regular recipient of the "Ghadr"
newspaper. He sailed from Vancouver on 16th December 1920 for Hong
Kong, which he left for India on 11th January 1921. He remained in India
until 1923, during which time he was noticed associating with Piara Singh
of village Langeri. Subsequently he returned to Canada. In September
1929 a meeting was held at his house at Kamloops, B. C., to raise funds
for the "Kirti" and to discuss plans for future action. During the ensuing
two years he was associated with the activities of prominent Ghadr
leaders in Canada and the U. S. A. Since 1931 he appears to have been
less active. In 1933 he was living at Rutland, near Kelowna, B. C.
