Mai Singh

Mai Singh, alias Malu Singh, son of Wadhawa Singh, of Kot Todar Mai, P. S. Kahnowan, District Gurdaspur. He is a returned emigrant from Singapore. He was connected with the dacoity gang of Sher Singh of village Thikriwala, district Gurdaspur. Was believed to be in possession of arms and also to be somewhat extravagant in his actions, if not actually mad. He was arrested and interned in May 1915, but released and restricted to his village in June 1916. In 1919 he was convicted in a burglary case and sentenced to one year's rigorous imprisonment. He took great interest in sending Akali Jathas to Daska, district Sialkot, in 1932. He associates with bad characters and with Bir Singh of Thikriwala (B- 62) and Sucha Singh. Jathedar of village Tughalwala.

Description : Age 40 years; wheat complexion; a boil mark on left middle finger 3 cc. in size; medium stature.
