K-60. Kirpal Singh, son ofNarain Singh ofBoparai kalan, P. S. Raikot, District
Ludhiana. While yet a student he joined the revolutionaries and took part
in dacoities. He was arrested at the Lahore headquarters and sentenced to
transportation for life but subsequently the term of transportation was
reduced to ten years. He was released in 1918 after he had undergone
4 years' imprisonment. Thereafter he prosecuted his studies at Ludhiana
and Amritsar. Under orders from the Desh Bhagat Qaidi Parwar Sahaik
Committee (Committee for the reliefofthe families ofpolitical prisoners)
he visited Sikh prisoners at Bombay and other places in company with
Baba Wasakha Singh (W-6) in 1925, with the object of ascertaining their
grievances and submitting recomendations for monetary help to their
relations. He is now reported to be employed as Head Master of the
Khalsa School, Kamalpur. P. S. Jagraon, District Ludhiana and to hold
political views.
