K-5L Kesho Ram, Sabharwal, alias Kesho Das, alias Kaura, son of Tara
Chand, Khatri, ofAndar Shahr, Peshawar City. An agitator of Peshawar
and an associate of Lal Chand Falak of Lahore, Jagat Ram of Hariana
(J-2), and Bhai Parmanand (P-14). Received copies of the "Ghadr". He
was a member of Parmanand's Secret Society and was directed to
establish a press for revolutionary literature and to have various officers
assassinated when the signal for a rising arrived. He was arrested and put
on Rs. 5,000 security for three years. He left Calcutta by the "Kawachi
Maru" in June 1915 and in 1917 was reported to be living in Yokohama
and carrying on Ghadr propaganda. In 1924 he applied to the British
Consul, Tokio, for a passport, which was, however, refused. In November
1926 he was employed in Tenri Foreign Language College at Kami
Takabatake Nara (Japan) and on the termination of his contract moved to
Tokio in November 1927 to join the "Japan Times and Mail". He is
reported to be still in Japan and to be working as editor of a newspaper.
He is in correspondence with his sister, Krishna Devi, a widow, who lives
in Peshawar City.
