K-34. Kartar Singh, alias Mehdi Kartar, alias Sheikh Madhi ofNarag, Tahsil Chakwal, District Jhelum. He went to Persia about 26 years ago and settled in Duzdap, but subsequently removed to Meshed, and has been working there as a lorry driver. He is a matriculate and was reported to have been a very active member ofthe Ghadr Party in East Persia, during 1930. He was originally a motor driver, but in 1931 was reported to own a motor shop in Bar Farosh, near Bandari Pahlevi, Resht Area. He is married to a Muhammadan girl in Persia, and is reported to hold Akali views.
