K-39. Kartar Singh, alias Narain Singh, son of Bishan Singh, Goldsmith, of
Sonaure Gate, Patiala State. One of the Lohatbaddi conspirators. Took
part in the Ferozepore raid, procured arms, and preached revolution.
Sentenced to transportation for life in the Supplementary Conspiracy
Case. Released conditionally on the 26th March 1920 under the Royal
Amnesty. Restricted to the limits ofthe Patiala State. Permitted to change
his residence from Patiala to Amritsar in 1921 but did not do so. In
October 1923 he was reported to have disappeared from Patiala having
abducted one Must; Dhan Devi, daughter of one Prabh Dayal, a
goldsmith of Patiala. A case under Section 363,1. P. C. is pending against
him.
Description : Age about 33 years; height 5-7"; fair complexion; broad
forehead; round face; medium build; pock-pitted face; round eyes; ear
lobes bored; two gold nails fixed up in the upper front teeth; generally
dresses as an Akali; clever in conversation.
