Karam Singh, son of Gokal Singh, goldsmith, of Nathoke, P. S. Barki,
District Lahore. An ex-jail warder from Hong Kong. Was dismissed for
misconduct and was suspected ofintroducing the "Ghadr" into the Indian
Warders' quarters with the object of getting an enemy of his into trouble.
In September 1915 he was deported from Hong Kong as he was
suspected of collusion with revolutionary tendency and was interned on
arrival in India. He was released and restricted to his village in January,
1916, the restriction order was subsequently cancelled. Took an active
part in the Akali movement. Is a vagabond and associates with bad
characters. Is now reported to be a Granthi in Lahore and lives with one
Lachman Singh on the Ravi Road where he owns a house.
