Joga Singh’ son of Jiwan sinSh’ Jat’ Village Ghamiala, P. S. Mahilpur,
District Hoshiarpur. He went to America about 1923 to join his brother
Arjan Singh who has since returned home. Joga Singh soon joined the
Ghadr Party and became one ofits most active workers. He was working
in the Ghadr Ashram in 1929-30 and was appointed one ofthe Directors
of the Hindustani American Trading Co., a Ghadr Party concern formed
to promote the economic side of the party's activities. In 1929 he was
reported to be a regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on behalf
of the "Kirti" fund. He has been acting as Secretary of the party since
i 1930 and in that capacity has been prominent in attending and addressing
various meetings, and collecting subscriptions for the party. For the last
few years, in fact, he has been one of the most energetic leaders of the
party, working at the Ashram in San Francisco and conducting
correspondence with all parts ofthe world. His passport No. 4586 issued
at Lahore on 12th February 1923 has been confiscated by H. M.'s Consul-
__ General at San Francisco.
Description : Age 32 years; height 5'-11"; eyes—dark brown, long,
narrow; hair—black, short, slightly frizzed; prominent crescent
shapped scar below and to left of left eye; clean shaven except for
small black "tooth brush" moustache; lower lip somewhat prominent.
