J-28. Jita Singh, alias Narindar Singh, son of Ram Singh, of Bahowal, P. S.
Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur. He was an associate ofBhagwan Singh of
village Viring, district Amritsar (a former leader of the Ghadr Party), at
Vancouver, where he was reported to be seditious and on the outbreak of
the war preached mutiny. He was a "Tosha Maru" passenger, and on
arrival in India was interned. He was sent for trial in the Second
Supplementary Case, but was acquitted. He left for Shanghai in 1922,
from where he proceeded to America. In 1929 he was reported to be a
regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on behalf of the Kirti
fund. He has not returned to India so far, and his present address is Yuba
City, California.
