Jit Singh, alias Punjab Singh, son of Basant Singh, Lambardar of Chak No. 107 Khurianwala, District Lyallpur. Original home in village Bundala, P. S. Nur Mahal, district Jullundur and real name Punjab Singh. Left for Olongapo, Philippine Islands, in 1907. Was employed there as a watchman. An anti-British postcard from him was intercepted in 1916, addressed to the editor of the "Shahid", Lahore. Sent a cheque for Rs. 13-8-0 in favour of the Manager, "Qaumi Babbar Sher", Amritsar, in September 1929, asking him to issue the paper to the writer and to one Diwan Singh in Philippine Islands. He is said to be running a shop there. Is living there with his family and two brothers named Prem Singh and Milkha Singh, who joined him about 3 years ago. The family owns landed property in Lyallpur.
