J-ll. Jaimal Singh, alias Chambel Singh, son of Mahin Singh, of Nagalian
Sialwa Majri, District Ambala. He is an ex-Naik ofthe Shanghai Police
who was dismissed in 1925. He was believed to have been concerned in
the distribution ofGhadr literature to the Indian troops in Yangtszepoo in
March 1927. In September 1928 he received a certificate of membership
from the Ghadr Party in California. In August 1930 he was enrolled as a
member ofthe General Committee ofthe Indian Youth League, China. He
was employed as a private watchman at No. 87, Baikal Road, at that time.
He was also enlisted as a member of the "Babba Jatha" formed in
October 1930 for the purpose of reviving the flagging spirits and
enthusiasm ofthe Youth League members who were to preach sedition to
the local Indians. Enquiries made in 1933 showed that he left for Hong
Kong a considerable time ago and was still there. He is said to have come
over with an Akali Jatha to the Punjab. Owns landed property.

stout build.
