Ishar Singh, son of Jaimal Singh, of Gandiwind, P. S. Sirhali, District
Amritsar. He arrived in Shanghai from India in 1923 and was employed
as a watchman by several fins. He was in Hankow for four months. He
attended several seditious meetings including the one held on 14th August
1917 in Shanghai when Ishar Singh of Sundun (1-28) read a letter from
Pritam Singh of Dhand Kasel (P-29), then leader of the Hankow Ghadr
Party, and at which resolutions were passed for the reception of the
"Young Revolutionaries" from Hankow, the resumption of the publication
of the "Hind Jagawa", and the preparation of the field for revolution by
the Sikh community. He was a representative of the Eastern Oppressed
Peoples' Association in Shanghai and was known to have been in
correspondence with Ganda Singh of Santawala (G-5). He left Shanghai
for India along with Amar Singh, son of Didar Singh, of Ghaniya, on 10th
March 1928 by the s.s. "Chaksang". Subsequently he wrote from the
Punjab to Kehr Singh, of Manke Fategarh, district Ludhiana (K-47), that
the Ghadr Party was very active in the Punjab and that the members of the
Eastern Oppressed Peoples' Association in China should prepare
themselves for action. After consultation with Baba Wasakha Singh
(W-6), President of the Kirti Kisan Party of the Punjab, he accompanied
Teja Singh of Kacha Pakka (T-9) for Rangoon en route to America, leaving Amritsar on 20th July 1932. The party consisting ofhimself and a
few others left Rangoon on 4th August 1932 for Singapore by the s.s.
"Karapara" and arrived in Penang on 8th August 1932. Is reported to
have arrived at Shanghai on 3rd October 1932, having travelled via
Bangkok and Swatow. Is said to be a member of the Kirti Kisan and
Ghadr Parties, and an associate of Dasaundha Singh Mann (D-16), Gajjan
Singh of Govindgarh (G-3) and Ganda Singh of Santawala (G-5).'Owns
