Indar Singh, son of Gurdit Singh, Village Sirhala Kalan, P. S. Mahilpur,
District Hoshiarpur. Went abroad about 1907. In 1928 he was reported
to be a member of the Ghadr Party in America. In 1929 he was a regular
quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on behalf of the Kirti fund. In
March 1932, he entered Canada surreptitiously with a view to returning to
India (after obtaining permission to return) but was arrested and deported
after protracted legal proceedings in February 1933. Substantial funds
which he was carrying with him were at one time suspected of being
Ghadr Party remittances. He is said to be a life member of the Ghadr
Party. He returned to India on 16th April 1933.
Description : Wheat complexion; height 5-9"; age 65 years; thick beard;
illiterate.
