Indar Singh, son of Wazir Singh, Kumhar, of Village Sangatpur, P. S.
Phagwara, Kapurthala State. Went to Hong Kong in 1906 and worked
there as an unskilled labourer till 1908 when he proceeded to Manila. In
1909 he went to America and joined the Ghadr Party at Stockton and San
Francisco. Attended a Ghadr meeting at Stockton in May and at Fresno in
September 1914. Returned via Hong Kong and Bangkok with the
intention ofjoining the revolution in Burma. Was arrested and interned
and subsequently repatriated and restricted in 1916. Again went to
Shanghai and Hong Kong in 1929. Was interned and again repatriated
and restricted to his village with security. Still holds political views and is
kept under Police surveillance.. Owns no landed property but deals in
mules with money obtained on loan.
Description : Age 50/55 years; wheat complexion; small eyes; ear lobes
bored; white beard; has long hair and moustache; height 5-6"; knows
Gurmukhi.
