Hukam Singh, believed to be identical with Hukam Singh, son of Chet
Singh, Jat, of Village Jamastpura, District Amritsar. He returned to India
from America in August 1913 after an absence of six years and was
mentioned by certain political internees in the Campbellpore jail in 1916
as a sympathizer of the Ghadr movement. He is reported to have served
for two or three years in the Labor Corps and to have again left for
America accompanied by his wife, children, and brother named Ganga
Singh, about 1921. In 1931 it was reported that he was living in Victoria,
B. C. and that he was not only a Ghadr Party supporter but also used to
deliver speeches in its favor and contribute money to the Ghadr fund.
