Hira Singh, son of Narain Singh, Jat, of Nangal Kalan, P. S. Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur. A returned emigrant from America. Was reported during the winter of 1914-15 to be helping the cause in the Punjab and was privy to the murder of Sardar Chanda Singh of his village by Jawand Singh of Nangal Kalan (hanged), Ranga Singh of Khurdpur (hanged), and Arur Singh of Sangwal (hanged). He was made an approver in the trial before the Lahore Tribunal. He is a school master in the Primary School at Gondpur, district Hoshiarpur, and attends political meetings. He associates with Piara Singh of Langeri (P-25), Partap Singh of Kot Fatuhi and Ganda Singh, Canadian, of Sarhala, district Hoshiarpur.
