Hazara Singh, son of Sham Singh, Village Padi Surasing, P. S.
Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur. He went to America about 1910. He
soon joined the Ghadr Party and contributed to its funds. He paid a short
visit to India in 1923 and went back to America. While at home he is
reported to have been interested in political organizations in America. He
is said to have acted as Secretary of a Committee founded by him to collect money for a Girls’ school in the Hoshiarpur district. He has been a
member of the Ghadr Party all along and in 1929 was reported to have
been appointed one ofthe Directors ofthe American Hindustani Trading
Co. (a Ghadr Party concern formed to promote the economic side of the
Party). In 1929 was a regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on
behalf of the Kirti fund. In 1930 and 1931 he was said to have been
elected to the local Committee of the Ghadr Party in Marysville, and at
the end of January 1932 was reported to have crossed into Canada with
Nidhan Singh (N-39). Is still in America.
