Harnam Singh, son of Jaimal Singh, Village Pakhowal, District
Hoshiarpur. He emigrated to America in 1907. He returned to India in
1922 and again went back after a few months. While at his home he bore
a good character. In 1922 he was reported to be a leader or close adherent
of the Ghadr Party, and in 1927 was said to be collecting funds or Ghadr
Party work in China. He was actively engaged in Ghadr Party work in
1927 and 1928 and about the middle of 1929 was said to have been
elected one of the Directors of the American Hindustani Trading Co., a
Ghadr Party concern formed to promote the economic side of the Party.
In 1929 he was a regular quarterly subscriber to the Ghadr Party on
behalf of the Kirti fund. He was again heard of in 1932 as one of those
elected to the local Committee of the Ghadr Party in Marysville. Has two
brothers, Dalip Singh and Waryamau. The former lives in the village,
while the latter is in Nairobi, East Africa. Harnam Singh is still in
America where his address is reported to be C/o American Hindustani
Trading Company, California, U. S. A.
