Harnam Singh, son of Amar Singh of Village Kot Dhandal, P. S.
Kahnowan, District Gurdaspur. He was a watchman in Singapore and
returned to India in the autumn of 1914. He was arrested during
investigation into dacoity cases in Gurdaspur and was suspected to have
been in possession of arms. He was interned in May 1915 and released
and restricted in June 1915. In 1916 he was ordered to report himself to
the police every week. Thereafter he went to Singapore and stayed there
until 1918 when he returned and during the next two years was suspected
of complicity in burglary cases. He remained absent from his home from
1920 to 1927 and is believed to have passed this period in China. He
returned to his village in 1927 and since then has been living there
quietly. He associates with bad characters.
