Hans Raj, son of Nagina Mai, Khatri, of Apra, P. S. Phillaur, District Jullundur. He went to America in 1906, and worked in Lumber mills in Canada and the U. S. A. He was one of the chief men at Har Dayal's Ghadr meeting at Astoria, and had been in touch with the seditious elements among the Indian emigrants since 1911. He returned to India in September 1914 and was restricted to his village. He is a man of political bent ofmind and associates with Ghadrites. He is a man of political bent of mind and associates with Ghadrites. He has been attending Congress meetings held from time to time in his village and sometimes presided over them. He was called "Gandhi” of Apra. He is at present in his village.
