Diwan Chand

Diwan Chand, son of Dina Nath, Arora, Village Kila Didar Singh, District Gujranwala. He was a shop-keeper at Bandon, Siam, in partnership with his brother Hari Singh, his cousin Santokh Singh and others and was a regular recipient of the Ghadr paper which was addressed to him under the name of S. T. Kotra. He volunteered to go to America to join Har Dayal but he was told to spread the cause where he was. On his arrival in India in 1918 a statement was extracted from him and he was restricted to his village in June of that year. The restrictions were cancelled in 1919. He has been in Bangkok, Siam, for the last five or six years, and is reported to be politically active.

Description : Age about 40 years; fair complexion; pock-pitted face; small moustache; height about 5'-7"; knows English and Urdu.
