Chet Singh, son of Kahan Singh, of Ghalib Kalan, Police Station Jagraon,
District Ludhiana. He went to Shanghai in 1902 and has been back once
when he was reported to be politically undesirable. He was employed in
the Chinese Customs and was one of the leaders of the party who attacked
the Gurdwara officials for exposing the Ghadr Party. He returned to India
in February 1919 and in August 1921 he applied for a passport to go back
to Shanghai for employment but his application was refused. He rendered
help to the Akali Jathas and was arrested and convicted in the Akali
agitation. Holds political views. Left for China about two years ago. His
present address is reported to be c/o Ram Singh, Indian Jardin Matheson
Co., 27, Bond, Shanghai. Owns 7/8 Ghumaons of land at his village.

tooth gold plated; round face; "kes" on head; also has a beard.
