Chanan Singh, son of Amar Singh, Jat, Village Dhakowal, Police Station
Sadr. District Hoshiarpur. He is said to have arrived in California from
India, probably about the middle of 1930, for further studies. It is said
that the expenses for his journey were paid by the Ghadr Party who, it
was understood, were bearing the cost of his education. He is reported to
have interested himself in the sending of students by the Ghadr Party to
Moscow for training and to have accompanied as far as Berlin Sohan
Singh "Yachak", son of Vir Bhan of village Daliwal, district Jullundur
(S-57), a suspected student to Moscow, in July 1932. It is possible that he
is now in Moscow. His father owns landed property in Chak No. 88/12-L,
Police Station Shahkot, District Montgomery.

black hair and eyes; an injury mark on the left foot.
