Bishan Singh, son of Wasakha Singh, Jat, of Village Varpal, P. S. Jandiala,
District Amritsar. He was formerly employed in the 93rd Infantry and
afterwards a constable in the Shanghai Police. He turned from Shanghai
by the s.s. "Nam Sang" on 13th October 1914 and attended the Jhar Sahib
meeting and attempted to collect men for the Chabba dacoity. He was sent
for trial in the Supplementary Lahore Conspiracy Case and sentenced to
transportation for life. He escaped from the District Jail, Multan, in May
1917 and is still at large. He has been declared a proclaimed offender in
case F. I. R. No. 50, dated 19th May 1917 of P. S. Sadr. Multan, under
Section 224, Indian Penal Code. He has no property or relatives in the
village.
Description : Age 40/45 years; wheat complexion; height 5-10"; a boil
mark on the left cheek and left hand.
