Bishan Singh, son of Jowala Singh, of Dodher, P. S. Sirhali, District
Amritsar. A returned emigrant from Manila who travelled to India in the
"Komagata Maru". He participated in the revolutionaiy activities in the
Punjab in the early months of 1915. Was convicted in the Lahore
Conspiracy Case of 1915 and sentenced to transportation for life, but was
released conditionally under the Royal Amnesty in 1920. Subsequently he
took part in the Akali agitation. Has been serving as a "Sewadar" in the
Golden Temple, Amritsar since 1929 and is reported to be quiet.
