Bhan Singh, son of Chanan Singh, Village Chuhar Chak, Tahsil Moga,
District Ferozepore. He along with his family left his village for Panama
some years ago. While at his village he is reported to have taken a
prominent part in the non-co-operation movement advocating the use of
Khaddar and spending most of his time in making seditious speeches. In
1929 and 1930 he was reported to be the General Secretary of the
Hindustani Kirti Party, Panama. About the end of 1929 he wrote a letter
to the Manager, "Kirti", Amritsar, stating that he had been regularly
receiving the journal, and that he was sending Rs. 15 as subscription
towards the journal. On 7th December 1929 he wrote to Kartar Singh
(K-38), Secretary, Desh Bhagat Parwar Sahaik Committee (Committee
for the relief of the families of political prisoners), Amritsar, stating that
the main object of the "Hindustani Kirti Party of Panama" was to help in
every way the Kirti Party, Ghadr Party and the Desh Bhagat Parwar
Sahaik Committee.
