Bhagat Singh, son of Bhan Singh of Kahalwan, P. S. Kartarpur, District Jullundur. A returned emigrant from Medan, Sumatra. Expressed seditious views to his Zaildar. Restricted and placed on security for Rs. 2,000. Before the expiry of the term of restriction he absented himself from the village and joined the army in Jullundur Cantonment. He was, however, discharged and sent up for trial under the Habitual Offender's Act and sentenced to three months' R. I. He again left for Sumatra, about four years ago and is reported to be still there. Owns landed property.
